JONNY NASH’S MELODY AS TRUTH IMPRINT PRESENTS THE NEW FULL-LENGTH FROM DIEGO HERRERA. Following 2015’s Talk From Home LP and November’s excellent split 7” with Nash, What You Get For Being Young finds Herrera delving further into sound design and digital manipulation. The arresting FM pads of “One Amongst Others” and “Bank” and haunting bassline of “Body Heat” should appeal to fans of Tim Hecker and Boards Of Canada. The record really gets serious on the penultimate “Scripted Space” and album closer “Further”, with Herrera’s echo chamber drums and swirling synth atmosphere conjuring beautiful and urgent moods that we’ve come to rely on Melody As Truth for.
