"Highly recommended. The SL-1500C merges the legendary SL-1200 DJ turntable series with modern Hi-Fi turntable design. Firstly, the SL-1500C uses the same high-torque direct drive motor and S-shaped tonearm as Technics DJ models. The SL-1500C removes the speed control slide (a DJ feature) and adds a phono preamp + Ortofon 2M Red cartridge (for easy plug+play). For added convenience, the SL-1500C also features a semi-automatic tonearm, which will lift the cartridge at the end of the record." - TTL
