Lab Overview

Sophomore studio album from Athens. georgia's The B-52s. Wild Planet was originally recorded in 1980 and followed closely on the heels of the band's eponymous debut. Campy, kitschy and driven by an incessant dance beat, the album is intent on making you party. There's plenty of clever humor and hysteria amongst the lava lamp psychedelics. Surf guitars and disco rhythms keep things moving throughout the album. Includes the songs: "Party Out of Bounds," "Give Me Back My Man," and "Private Idaho." Nine tracks in all. Released by Warner Bros Records on limited edition red vinyl housed in a full color sleeve with a printed inner sleeve.
