  • Debut full length from The Cramps back on wax! Originally released in 1980, Songs The Lord Taught Us is the first proper album by The Cramps (following 1979's 5 track EP Gravest Hits) giving us a full dose of that rockabilly-punk-garage rock fusion. This particular album would be a crucial step in the development of the psychobilly style (especially Lux Interior's howling on "Garbage Man") and also includes the rockin' energy of "I Was A Teenage Werewolf," the low key creep of "Fever," the raucous "Sunglasses After Dark," and many more. Even if you own an original, you'd be hard pressed to find a better sounding copy to rock out to.

    • black vinyl pressing
    • original release year: 1980
    • music label: Capitol 2016
