Lab Overview

Here's one from the deep end of the People Records catalog.
The Devils' sole release from 1974 is a slice of raw funk with a twist. James Brown must've just watched The Exorcist or something 'cuz there's definitely some eerie and dark moments on "X-Sorcist," but on a whole the track lays the funk on strong. Flipside features a groovy cover of Booker T & The MG's "Hip Hug Her."  Taken from the Get On Down For The People Pt. 1 boxset, issued here as a special single 45.
