The Japanese House
Good At Falling (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP
Dirty Hit
↳ intimate indie pop w/ production help from The 1975 member

Good At Falling is the debut album from Amber Bain aka The Japanese House. The Buckinghamshire artist, with production help from George Daniel of The 1975, opens up to write a very personal collection of songs, and Bain's expressive vocals pair well with the folktronic backdrop consisting of guitar, synthesizer and keyboard work. Check out "We Talk All the Time," a realistic look at sex (or lack thereof) in a relationship, of "You Seemed so Happy," a seemingly upbeat tune w/ a dark, death-related subject matter. The ethereal "Follow My Girl" was written at Bon Iver's Fall Creek studio, and "Maybe you're the Reason" is another standout, as it gives insight into how personal the songwriting behind this record is.
