I shall proceed and continue, to rock the mic! From the Illadelph streets to the Fallon stage, The Roots have become one of the most relevant and recognized hip-hop bands of all time. You probably got all the albums by now, but incase you missed a 12" or two (or three) since Organix, this useful compilation will help you fill the gaps in the Roots section of your crate. Organamix pulls together some of the rarer Roots sides and remixes on double 12" vinyl, including collaboratoins with Roy Ayers, DJ Krush, Big Pun, 4 Hero, Walkin' Large, Bahamadia, Beatminerz and more. "Meiso" was always one of my favorite Mo'Wax 12"s with Black Though killin' the Krush beat, and the track is contained here along with the 4 Hero remix. Other highlights include two versions of the classic "Proceed" (one with Roy Ayers, the other Bahamadia), a cover of Doug E Fresh's "The Show," two remixes of "Silent Treatment" and "Super Lyrical" by Big Pun featuring a verse from Black Thought. 16 tracks on 2 LPs. A must for Roots completists.
