Detroit + Melbourne. Theo Parrish works with three members of the neo-soul band Hiatus Kaiyote as well as Silent Jay (saxophone) & Lori (vocals) for this live jam / deep house number. A simple but addictive piano riff starts off "What You Wanna Ask For," as the Detroit producer's loose groove kicks in alongside spacey chords and jazzy riffs. The track takes its time to build up, and when the vocals kick in, Parrish's organic dance music magic also unleashes in full—flip the record over for Dego's respectful, hand-percussion-assisted take.
