Lab Overview

Timmy Thomas' all-time classic back on 12"! Though it never really left, "Why Can't We Live Together" has received a kind of a resurgence recently with Drake sampling it for "Hot Line Bling." Nothing against Drizzy, but the original 1972 tune is bulletproof, and is really what makes the track. Here it is in its original full length glory, luxuriously taking up the whole A side of this 12". Apparently Thomas recorded this with a cheap Lowery home organ and built-in drum machine, proving you don't need much so long as you have soul. The more upbeat, oft-overshadowed "Africano" on the A side.
