Lab Overview

The Luv N' Haight Edit series launched earlier this year in conjunction with Record Store Day with edits of two Mike James Kirkland classics from Nicolas Jaar and 78 Edits. Volume 2 enlists the Chicago duo of Rahaan and Zernell (Grimy Edits) to rework some tracks from Tommy Stewart's self titled 1976 album, which was recently reissued by Luv N' Haight. They show their skill with the razor and tape, looping the intro of "Practice What You Preach" before the strings drop and letting the tune go. With "Bump & Hustle Music" we're given a subtle rearrangement of the track that infuses the groove into your soul. Stellar edits from some of Chicago's best. Clear vinyl.
