Tune-Yards
I Can Feel You Creep Into My Private Life (Indie Exclusive Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP
4AD
↳ textured + beat-heavy dance pop imbued with self-interrogation

Fourth studio album from Oakland's Tune-Yards. I Can Feel You Creep Into My Private Life finds Merrill Garbus intensifying her politics while turning to early dance music for inspiration. She takes on the delicate issues of race, privilege and platform, using a voice that questions herself as much as the listener. The music is more beat heavy than on previous releases with rhythm being the focus over melody. Working with musical partner Nate Brenner, the duo craft dance ready tracks that draw from Afropop and house while keeping an experimental pop bent. Includes the songs: "Look At Your Hands," "ABC 123," and "Heart Attack." Twelve tracks in all. Released by 4AD on indie exclusive clear vinyl housed in an alternate cover with foldout poster and digital download.
