Disruptive, sarcastic, and thrashing. Turbonegro formed in 1989, and the Oslo band, with its explosive blend of glam, punk, and hard rock, traces their main influences to everyone from Black Flag and Ramones to the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and KISS. Ass Cobra is the third studio album from Turbonegro. Mid-'70s punk & glam are much more apparent on Ass Cobra, and the record also coincides with when Turbonegro would develop their signature look consisting of sailor caps, all-denim-everything outfits, and mustaches. Check out "Denim Demon," "Sailor Man," "I Got Erection," and "Turbonegro Hate the Kids," obnoxious (as in good) death punk at its best.
