Debut release on Invisible City Editions freshly minted sub-label Intelligent Instruments! Downtown NYC experimental sound artist Vito Ricci kicks the label off with an incredible collection of 80's compositions made solely on the Amiga computer. You might recognize Ricci from his excellent Crossing A Bridge comp on Music For Memory, but for A Symphony For Amiga, Ricci composes 6 brilliant tracks using solely an Amiga and fellow NYC synthesizer pioneer Laurie Spiegel's Music Mouse program from 1985. Together with vocalist Lise Vachon, Vito is able to conjure brilliant ambient zones by fusing experimental instrumentation and lo-fi digital technology. This pressing includes 6 pieces in both vocal and instrumental versions for 12 tracks total. Pic sleeve, recommended.
