  • Vicent Chin, long before moving to NY to start VP Records, opened Randy’s Shop, record-store-cum-studio, in 1959. It quickly became the leading outlet for Jamaican music, and Chin began recording and releasing music with help from legendary producer Bunny “Striker” Lee. Compiled on this release are 14 tracks from the likes of Delroy Wilson, Bob Marley, John Holt, Max Romeo, Freddie McGregor and more. A fine collection of early reggae hits, make sure to check out “I’m Still Waiting,” “The Tide is High,” “Mr. Chatterbox,” “Let The Power Fall On I,” and “Truth Hurts.”
