  • It's almost as if it wall was never supposed to happen. White Zombie's industrial thrash music had been brewing since 1985, but it was not until 1992's La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume One that the band found mainstream success. With the weight of that album's platinum certification weighing on them, and after a few drummer changes, the band went back into the studio. Joined by producer Terry Date (Deftones, Pantera, Soundgarden), they took six months to write and record Astro-Creep: 2000. The album stuck close to the sound that had won them fans, distorted vocals, drilling riffs and the full throttled roar that could be felt from miles away. Sure they're a bit campy, but aren't all the best metal bands?
