Motor City heavyweights Will Sessions drop another bomb of a 45 for Funk Night Records. This time around they've enlisted the gritty vocals of Rickey Calloway. "The Jump Back" is a heated affair that brings to mind James Brown in his funkiest moments. And we ain't mad at that, not one bit. It's amazing how much the band is channeling the JBs on this one. Makes it feel like this is some long lost cut that was released on People Records way back when. Don't sleep on this one! Recommended.

"The Jump Back" is a heated affair that brings to mind James Brown in his funkiest moments. And we ain't mad at that, not one bit. It's amazing how much the band is channeling the JBs on this one. Makes it feel like this is some long lost cut that was released on People Records way back when. Don't sleep on this one! Recommended.
