Two standout cuts from the recently reissued Who Is William Onyeabor. Luaka Bop has dug deep and gotten their hands on Onyeabor's back catalog. Nearly 30 years since the music was made it sounds fresh as ever. It's a confluence of funk and African rhythms punctuated by electronic and traditional instrumentation. "Let's Fall In Love" is an intensely funky cut that rides over a drum machine. Definitely playable for an open minded crowd that just wants to get down. On the flip "Good Name" takes a more cosmic path, but the groove is just as tough. Recommended.
