  • Welcome to Zamrock. Witch's groundbreaking debut album gets a repress courtesy of the good folks at Now-Again. Witch are like The Beatles of Zambian rock and roll, though their catalog was rarely heard outside of their native country until the birth of blogs and the recent wave of reissues. 1973's Introduction is their first album, a perfect place to start for people new to Witch, or new to the Zamrock sound in general. With influences ranging from The Rolling Stones to James Brown, Witch were able to create a completely unique brand of psychedelic African garage rock, much different from the Afrobeat sound that most would expect. Their first two albums were released at the birth of the Zambian recording industry, and are now pretty much impossible to find on original press making these reissues indispensable.
