Champion sound! The Sydney duo of Julian Sudek and Will Champion make their Future Classic debut as World Champion with the groovy sounds of Avocado Galaxy. The two have had a hand in a bunch of down under bands (including Canyons, FLRL, Cut Silk, etc.) so it comes as no surprise that they come correct with the vibes on their premiere four tracker. The title track kicks it off on a swingin' dance rock vibe that invokes the psychedelic pop moods of the 60's (or maybe Beck's "New Pollution"?) with a touch of spaced out synth work. Peep the video below for the full experience. "Shakes" and "Avocado Moon" extend the feeling, while "Tip Pit" slows it down with a bit of retro soul. Comes with digital download, housed in a lovely pic sleeve.
