Warlord is the second studio album from Swedish rapper Yung Lean. Although the Sad Boys member wanted to continue his series of Unknown... projects, he decided to alter the title as he felt the 13 tracker differs from his previous works. Right off the bat, the sound is more polished, setting the record apart from, say, the scrappy cloud rap charm of his debut mixtape Unknown Death 2002. Lean's usual squad of producers—Yung gud, Yung Sherman, Whitearmor— provide the dark, bass-heavy beats, and the veteran Mike Dean assists on "Highway Patrol" and "More Stacks." Lean sticks w/ his signature atonal delivery throughout the LP, and his chronicles of of tour life, money making, and more remain shrouded in his irresistible sad boi energy. Check out "Hoover," "Miami Ultras," "Fantasy," and "Immortal."
