More heat from Chicago's Universal Togetherness Band, the university studio project of Andre Gibson and his Columbia College classmates which yielded the excellent Universal Togetherness Band LP on Numero Group a few years back. This 45 sees LP highlight "My Sentiments" on 7-inch for the first time. The track, built around an insanely catchy vamping piano backbone vaguely reminiscent of Supertramp's "Logical Song" (but funkier), has refused to leave my head for a few years now. On the flip is "Missing You," a recently rediscovered harmonica-fried midtempo track that was thought to be lost when compiling the UTB LP.
