If you're a Brand New fan, add to cart and check out before proceeding. This is possibly the last project from the Long Island band. After years of anticipation, the 5th album (Daisy, the group's last LP, was released in 2009) from the beloved indie rockers is here, and it doesn't disappoint. Science Fiction is rooted in moving songwriting and melancholy that should be familiar to the band's cult-like fanbase, but Jesse Lacey & co. deliver their thoughts and feels through a more mature sound. The songs are more atmospheric and moody, and this stylistic shift is the very key to Brand New's appeal; the band has always been forward thinking and unafraid to experiment. As with other Brand New LPs, definitely take the time to digest the lyrics and be prepared for a emotional listening experience. Highlights include: "Can't Get It Out," "Waste," "Same Logic / Teeth," "Lift Me Up," and "Could Never Be Heaven."
