  • First things first, Clams Casino might be the strongest producer name EVER. He got introduced to the world as the Based God’s producer and has since worked with A$AP Rocky, Ferg, Mac Miller, and others. 32 Levels is the New Jersey-based beat genius’ debut studio album, and it is flat out good. Enlisting help from aforementioned rappers plus some vocalists (Kelela on “A Breadth Away” is amazing), clammy Clams showcases the weird, witch-house-influenced world of Based hip-hop beats, and the off-kilter melodies and atmospheres he creates are brilliant. What’s interesting is that there are more pop-oriented numbers on 32 Levels also, and although the rap numbers fair a bit better, they do show Clams’ versatility. Check out “Level 1,” “Be Somebody,” “All Nite,” and “32 Levels” featuring Lil B. Recommended.

    • double vinyl
    • gatefold sleeve
    • digital download included
