Originally released in 2011 on CD-R (only 100 copies!!!), Blood Lust is back on vinyl. The first wax run, which happened in the same year, sold out instantly, and another repress came a year later, selling out fast again, but not before it crashed Rise Above Records' website. And that is important to note because up until that point, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats had been shrouded in mystery, known to the outside world only through music posted on Myspace and/or Youtube + Volume 1, which was also a CD-R album. There were no clear pictures published of the band, nor had they performed live. It's was solely the band's "addictive blend of heavy, melodic and garage horror-rock" that had captured the attention of the underground. Almost 8 years later, the project sounds as dark and filled with doom as ever, an electrifying body of work that works as an early indication of why the UK band would sustain such a dedicated fan base for years to come (check out the band band's 2018 work, Wasteland). Key tracks are: "I'll Cut You Down," "Ritual Knife," "Over and over Again," and "Death's Door."
